While I did have some challenges this year in my garden, I wanted to share a few varieties that did well in my southern garden. It has been hot and dry, although I have done some hand watering. This tomato is Elgin Pink. I bet many of you have grown it. It will be returning next year. Another very good and tasty pink tomato I tried this year is Vinson Watts. I failed to get a pic of it, but it is a nice meaty pink slicer. Next is Prairie Spice Pepper: These ripened before others and is a large sweet pepper with a spicy afterbite. Highly recommend. This sweet snacking pepper has been productive producing blemish free peppers. Yummy Belles baby snack pepper is the name. Finally is a large sweet Turkish pepper called Tekne Dolmasi. I grew these to share with Turkish friends. One friend moved to NC, but I did get to share with the other friend. This morning I made Turkish eggs (Menemen) with the pepper and tomatoes. Here's the recipe: www.chilipeppermadness.com/recipes/menemen/

By any chance did you save any pepper seeds and would be willing to share? I can't seem to find them in stock anywhere

spike, I didn't bag any of the blossoms this year. All my peppers are planted together, and I'd bet there's been some cross pollinating.

Lovely peppers and tomatoes, Hensaplenty! They all look delicious, especially the Tekne Dolmasi.
