Hey guys!
I don't know what happened, but I had trouble figuring out how to get in here.
Used to live in Missouri, now in SA Texas. Learning how to "desert" garden, and heading for aquaponics.

Welcome dirtundernails, glad you made it through the activation process! "Desert" gardening sounds like what a lot of us Southerners are going thru! So just jump in anywhere and have some fun while your at it...

Welcome Dirtundernails! So how do you like the rocks in SA? Is that one of the reasons you're moving to hydroponics? About 10 years ago I broke ground on a garden in SA that had not been active in about 10 years. I used a cultivator on the end of a weed whacker. I had to tie a cinder block on the shield of the cultivator end to keep it down in the dirt. Lol. I'm betting this is a very different experience for you. Best of luck to you and may you have a bountiful garden.

Actually, just East of SA barely on the coastal plain where there is dirt (which I haven't seen for 7 years). It's mostly the lack of water, and moving to the city where livestock is not allowed after being on 20 acres. I gotta be farming.
I did have the experience of the Hill Country rocks. Lived for the last year at my MIL's. OK, if I were to get technical, she does not have rocky soil. She has dirty rocks.

Hi!
I'm glad you love your canner. Sad how scared we get over old fashioned things that only "they " can do...
