I bought a Fuji dwarf and a Dwarf Bonfire Peach. The Fuji doesn't look the greatest but for $10 I'll take a chance.

The tag on the Dwarf Bonfire Peach says:
A dwarf tree ideally suited for growing in containers. Delicious fruit is excellent for fresh eating or baking. Self-fruiting.
Now that I have it at home, I found out online that many people say its ornamental only.
Does anybody have one?

FWIW, sweet things were in short supply in meso-america. Peaches were a collosal hit. Peach pits were stolen and traded and planted ultimately by the million all over the south-west. If you will love-up this fairly ephemeral tree (ie mulch it and water it as needed), and understand that if your not going to spray for borer and leaf-curl, you will ever be replacing trees. Even the funkiest, toughest, lack lusterous peach ripe from the tree, is pretty darned good. IMO rivals if not surpasses paw paw for a locavor gem.
