I would like to open the discussion of Homeopathic treatments, what types I use and what types others use! Why not share what we enjoy using which of course saves us all in medical care and betters our health? These are used by me and are not recommended by a health professional. My personal choices and my excellent health afford me options that do not conflict with medications which some folks take. Nettle is said to amplify heart medications and blood thinners so ask your doc prior to using. First Herb....you may guess if you know what I do here.... NETTLES! The single most misunderstood stinging plant and the most useful one in my humble opinion! Examples: Nettle salves and oils are soothing, pain relieving, anti bacterial, anti wrinkle, and very healing for dry and damaged skin with skin issues included such as excema and rashes. Said to aid in restoring balding hair and hair color as a hair rinse while adding shine. Arthritis, rheumatism and Gout sufferers are beginning to be told by their own doctors to try the tea! It is great for head aches or ladies cramps. Nettle in the Spring makes a great side Veggie to eat similar to spinach but more nutritious with 40% protein per leaf volume! That is correct, it double as both a veggie and a protein in one plus it tastes good! We use it in omelets, soups, pizza and more! Very high calcium, magnesium; high iron, potassium, zinc, Vitamin B's and A; supply niacin, protein, vitamin C, D and K. It is recommended for Liver, Prostate, blood health including those suffering from Anemia. Nettle dried for animal feed: Cows produce better more nutritious milk. Chickens lay more eggs higher in nutrition Pigs can consume it for it's high protein as a meat The fibers can be used to make cloth should you wish... There are many more uses but that is a summary to get this topic going...I am brave enough to put on the one plant most snicker at! I have many more but this one is the most controversial! Some folks can't get past that sting! Ok folks your turn!
