We had a cold one Friday morning, the 19th. I saw 37F before 8am. The day before, I covered lots of plants again. It didn't frost here. My friend out of town said her sheets were frozen and her tomatoes made it.
The weather has warmed back up into the 60s and 70s with cool nighttime temps. Looks to be nice for the next week with no frost. That's great news for my friend whose tomatoes aren't really ripening yet.

It has gotten to the high 40's here a few nights, so no frost threat, but I hope that it warms up. I have a large number of peppers that are still green, and not near ripe. The last few years it has not frosted until at least a week into Nov.!

Who turned off the heat? "Do not go gently into that good next season"-or something like that!

Hey, timothyt! You're getting some of our "old" weather. What's your windchill? Looks like we're getting six consecutive days in the 70s. Wednesday was the second day of having the fan in the window to heat the place. The sky is so blue and it's such a joy to be outside with the warm sun.

Thursday and Friday were both in the 70s and the fan was back in the window. The sun is still quite warm without the humidity to go with it. Just splendid days. My brother lives 27 miles to the west and he had 79.5F on Friday. He went swimming in his town's river again (Friday)!

85 yesterday, 82 today, around 60 at night, with not a cloud in the sky. About 10° above average, and this is a week and a half after it got into the 40s here!

Today was the seventh day in-a-row to make it into the 70s. You can bet I've been spending time outside. I walked 5km each of the last three days. Today, my brother wanted me to go swimming with him. He's swam five of the last six days in the Cedar River in Gladwin, w8in4dave! It's good to hear Hubbs is going salmon drinking, err, fishing. I chose to stay on land. We ended up getting some rain after supper while I was out walking. It hasn't rained in eight days and it felt good. Tomorrow is only supposed to be 55F; a good 21 degree drop.

Back to the low 80's for highs and lows around 60 around here. Have only had .30" of rain in last 3 weeks, so we're getting mighty dry!

It's still kind of hot here today, but fall is supposed to arrive this weekend. We'll have rain tomorrow, then Saturday's forecast is sunny with a high of 74 and a low of 51. Sunday's weather will be about the same. Now that's get outside and enjoy the garden weather.

Thursday was in the low 60s and had some light rain blow through. I spent lots of time outside and got 5km of walking in. Did some garden clean-up, for sure.
At 1am, it's still 61F out and we have some real rain coming. Friday should be 65F and Saturday, only 50F. We're in a rainy period, so hopefully we won't get frosted yet.

Just got home from a weeks vacation to the Grand Canyon and there is a freeze warning for tonight. My wife covered some tender flowers and I put some towels on my poor peppers that are just now beginning to show some fruit. Forecast is for nice weather after tonight for another couple of weeks.

Hope your flowers and peppers make the night, Paul. It'd be great to have another couple weeks.
After 2am, it's 47F out and quite wet from a good rain. We're expecting more rain and a high of only 49F on Saturday. Saturday night should be cloudy, 39F with a breeze. I expect to cover a few things just in case.

I got that cold weather you guys had here, last night and tonight. 44º last night, and a little warmer tonight, but then it is going to be back up above normal for a while, until down to 36º (!) I think it was 10-19. But they don't even know what tomorrow will be, so I'm not too worried. But I will get ready, just in case. Last night I had to bring my curry tree in, and again tonight, as they don't even like it much under 50º, so soon it will be in for good.

Gloomy. Before noon, it's 52F out and dark and damp. I fed the birds. We're expecting showers for the next two days and then clearing on Wednesday. That will set us up for cold nights mid-week. Then, I'll be covering some of my plants, no doubt. I'm comfortable being indoors, right now.

Finally, the weather is becoming more to my liking! Cool enough to do hard work without a soaking! Warm enough to wear shorts! Lows around 48, high around 72. Tomorrow summer is back highs in the 80's.....

Tuesday, we got up to 63F with some sun. Spent hours cleaning up the garden on such a nice day. Got out for 5km of walking, finishing up in a light rain. After midnight, it's 47F and we may be getting frosted Wednesday night.

Wednesday, it got up to 55F and I picked lots of small tomatoes. I covered four tomato plants, two groups of peppers and Aunt Molly's Ground Cherry. There was a breeze, so I didn't expect frost and it didn't. Today we got up to 57.5F and it was still breezy. The sun felt great and I continued cleaning up the garden. Fit in 5km of walking. Very still out there tonight. Looks like we'll get our first frost.

The frost missed us again. We got up to 56F today with clouds every now-and-then. Spent lots of time in the garden and took in two miles of walking. Even had some sprinkles come through around suppertime. By dark, the wind became calm. Before midnight, it's 38F and it looks like tonight we'll get our first frost/freeze for sure.

We had our first frost on October 11. For the last three days, I've been cleaning up the garden and walking 5km each day. Saturday and Sunday we had mid-50s and some sun. Monday we had 61F, so even tho' it was grey out, it felt great!
Tonight at 1am, it's still 6OF out with high humidity. We're expecting some rain and continued mild temperatures until the weekend.
Hope everyone is safe from the severe weather today/tonight.

We got up to 62F today with some warm sun. It's still shorts weather and I had my Batman tank top on. Spent hours outside cleaning up, including digging up quack grass and other invasives. That should slow the "weedy" plants down next spring. At 2am, it's still 54F and that's warm. Thursday, we're looking at 61F with scattered showers. Should have only a light breeze and I'm looking forward to getting back outside.

Sun actually came out for a few minutes today. It's not even going to hit 60's all week I don't think. I suppose stratcat has gotten some frost. We got 1 night of frost and that wasn't too hard.
