Tuesday we had 52F(11C) and some sun. This was the 2nd day in-a-row that I saw golfers playing out on the course.

We had a dark, dreary day here above freezing. I got outside for walks and finally picked up containers, etc. in front of my garage. Still have to put the hose in. Tonight, I was out for a walk at 9p. There was a light rain and the temp was 35F(1.7C). Not bad!

Rained well last night. Temp at 9AM is 50F and we have already hit what is supposed to be the high for the day. Going down from here. Depending on which forecast I look at, it is supposed to get down to 35-40F tonight. Wind is whipping hard and has an icy feel to it.
Gotta cover stuff, as temp in my yard usually goes lower than forecast and with all the moisture in the air, frost is probable if the wind dies down. If temp goes to 32F, doesn't matter if the wind dies down, they need to be covered. I'll watch the thermometer through the day and hopefully the wind will die down enough for me to get the plastic sheeting set up.

75 and cloudy, and there are thunderstorms to coming in from the West which should arrive this afternoon. We could use the rain (fall is a dry season here).

Well, was cold today. It only got to 64, (compared to 70's yesterday). They were teasing us with hopes of rain, now they are teasing with thoughts of snow next week. Just wish we would get some kind of moisture. It is getting way tooo dry.

Mid-day, we're above freezing with a nice rain storm. I can hear rain-on-the-roof! ;D It's been foggy out today, so I bet it'll really be tonight.

I was out for a walk in the rain tonight at 8.30p and the temp was 37F(2.8C). About an hour later, we even had thunder! After midnight, the temperature is holding steady and the rain has stopped for now.

It's been slightly warmer than average and will be for the next few days. Snow and colder temps are predicted later this week for the area north of KC but likely won't get much here. We got about 0.3" of rain the other day but we are still in a severe drought and experiencing one of the warmest years on record. and one of the driest: The longer term forecasts don't offer much change from this pattern of warm and dry that really set up about mid summer of 2011. 1 month Temp Precip: 3 month temp 3 month precip March-April-May prediction www.cpc.ncep.noaa.gov/products/predictions/long_range/seasonal.php?lead=4

Yesterday, we had 42F(5.5C) and sun. The ground was still bare. We had just a little snow in the night and now there's rain on the window. It's above freezing, so it's OK.

Glad I don't have an outhouse like DLD 25mph winds with 45mph gusts. Interstates north of here are shutdown. Parts of NW Mo, Iowa and Neb are w/o power. I'm sending it your way strat. Attachments:

Ya'll be safe in this storm!
Rained last night. Wind is gusting but steady and strong. Supposed to have gusts in excess of 40 mph. Temp in upper 50'sF, but feels much colder due to wind which has a definite coldness. Forecast for 33F tonight.

There's a line of strong thunderstorms blowing through right this minute. Luckily the line weakened just before it reached me, so the wind is not that bad. Still, with the heavy rain and some wind, it might knock over my newly-planted baby onions (the soil in their beds is really soft). I'll need to check on them after the rain quits. It's about 70 right now, but will be dropping to the upper 30s tonight after the rain blows through. Tomorrow night we may get our first freeze - predicted lows are 29-34. Maybe my apple and cherry trees will finally decide to go dormant now.

We'll get ours, but not quite yet, hehe. We've been above freezing since morning with lots of rain. The snow is gone for now. Had some big gusts of wind and Mom's television antenna tower blew over. The good news is it didn't poke a hole in the roof and an evergreen caught the antenna end before it hit the ground. Now we're only getting one channel. Here's a screenshot from an hour ago. My big nephew helped me get it saved and uploaded. Whew! I'm learning... We live on the right side of the mitten; the county below Tawas City (my birthplace). We're 5 miles(8km) inland from Saginaw Bay and we just have a special weather statement. Still raining... There's a Storm Warning out in Lake Michigan with a possibility of an occasional wave up to 40 ft(12.2m). That's taller than the waves that got the Edmund Fitzgerald!

Crazy! It's 39º now (4 PM), with a few flurries, and at 4 AM it was 59º, and it looks like I got about 2" of rain last night.

Upper 50'sF now. Last night it was only supposed to get down to 34F.
However.......When I went to cover peppers at about 10PM, it was still supposed to be high 30's. I pulled the plastic off the ground and small thin sheets of ice fell out. I think we had more than a frost last night. Supposed to be 41F tonight.

Awoke Friday to a light snow cover. The temp stayed around freezing all day with lots of wind. I got out for a couple miles of walks. Can you say windchill? It's 29F(8.8C) out at 3a.
I see tonight there's a Storm Warning out on Lake Huron. Could be a maximum wave height of 35'(10.7m). Don't go there.

We haven't gotten any more snow and what we do have is very little. Just above freezing temps in the daytime and below at night. We're slated to get snow showers this week.

For what was supposed to be a typical carolina rainy Christmas, it was a beautiful balmy 61' today. However that winter storm that Tx and the rest of the country is having is moving in tonight. Is supposed to bring us 2+ inches of rain and flooding. should be a wonderful wet wednesday. Hope all who are in the path of this storm have not suffered any damage!

Sunday, we had some sun in the morning, then the typical cloudy day. The temps stayed just under freezing and I got out for 3 walks for a total of 5km.
At 1.26a, we're 23.5F(4.7C).

Around here, our ground is essentially bare. Just a little snow in the shadows. I was out at 8.30p for a walk and the temp was at freezing. A little snow was already falling with a light breeze. It felt good.
