It actually got nice out there today, once the wind died back, and it was right around average, finally, at 62°, and I got quite a bit done outside. Still too wet to do a lot of things, but at least it's getting to where I can walk around most places, w/o sinking.

Bright sunny day except it is getting a little less bright as the morning progresses. It is like a hazy summer day, but it keeps getting less sunny as the day goes on.

Currently it is slightly cloudy but a beautiful day for the eclipse. Should happen almost over the top of our house.

We will be at 80% but most likely not noticeable. We will watch through glasses anyway. The 2017 eclipse was right over us…very strange and eerie.

It got to 79° here today, warmest day since sometime last October. Rain starting in the morning, but the worst is coming Thursday, into Friday, and we might get an inch or so over the next 3 days. Staying around 70°, and higher than average lows, as well.

It was lovely this morning at 8am, but now it's gotten really windy and the clouds are starting to roll in. We are expecting strong storms this evening and overnight, with a chance of severe storms. We're forecast to get about 1.75 inches of rain - and I do hope we get that much, since the last rainfall was less than forecast, and it's starting to get dry out at the property.
I just hope we don't get hail, or get startled out of sleep in the wee hours due to a tornado warning.

Storming with a tornado watch and possible hail. High winds blowing right now.

There's a tornado warning in my county right now, but it's not headed toward my neighborhood. Lots of wind, some rain. No hail so far - keeping my fingers crossed! Hope it's not a long night.

We're all good here. No more tornado warnings after the first one. As far as I know there was no real flooding or other damage locally. Minor wind damage in the garden (some plants that need to be tied or staked back up), but I believe everything will recover just fine. We got a lot of rain - about 3.5". The clouds are dispersing and it's a little cooler today, with a high around 72 forecast. It's also windy again, with sustained winds about 20-25 mph with some higher gusts. There's no more rain in the 10-day forecast - sunny to partly cloudy skies only. After today we start a warming trend and for most of the forecast highs will be in the low 80s and lows in the low 60s. So, it looks like the spring dry season has finally arrived. Oh, well! A spring drought is almost inevitable here. The forecast temperatures are very normal for mid-April.

It started raining here about 3.30, and I had just cleaned up, and put everything away around 3:00, so it was timed just right. It rained hard, but briefly, and even though the rain has been on and off, in almost 6 hours it has only totalled .02" on that gauge I just put back up. It's supposed to be cooler tomorrow - about back to average in low to mid 60s, but some heavy rain. Won't be doing much more outside then.

It got as dark this morning as it did from the eclipse the other day - maybe darker! It was raining very hard, with those very dark clouds. The rain has let up, but more is coming, from down south, where those really bad storms are occurring. It's mostly going W of me, and the last front I was in between the two worst parts going west and east of here, but I had about .40" so far, around 9 am, slowing down some now, and the light came back some. They are still predicting thunderstorms for later, but nothing like this morning.

It's sunny and breezy, but not as windy as yesterday. High forecast for 77, with the highs for the rest of the 10-day forecast in the low 80s.
I plan to enjoy this mild to warm weather as much as I can - it'll be hot in a few weeks, and the sauna conditions will start in six weeks or less.

I was pretty sure we were going to meet up with Dorothy and Toto in OZ last night. Yard is full of tree vomit >,< Will take forever to pick up all the sticks and branches. So many trees are down. The bro lost several trees, his pond is over flowing and he is vexed. There is a nice sized dead tree that fell over and is being held up by the power lines. Very bad not good but they are working around the clock trying to restore power and fix the lines so fingers crossed.

lol It should have been scary! But hubs is on oxygen at night and the power kept going on and off. Every single time the power went out, his oxygen unit started screaming, the dogs would go bananas and hubs would get the flashlight and go shut it off. Power would come back on and everything would settle back down and BOOM, power goes off . . . rinse and repeat for hours. Got to the point we were holding flashlights under our chins, shining them on our faces and teasing the dogs. Adulting at its finest. It was 2 in the morning and out here in the center of Hickville there are no street lights so total darkness. Takes so little to amuse us.
We never totally lost power but others weren't so lucky. So many branches etc in the yard but the yard is also a bog so they will be considered decorations for the time being.

So far no storms around here. We are still on the temperature roller coaster. Today mid eighties tonight 40s, tomorrow 80s again. Then 50s and a chance of much needed rain. Of course mid week next week lows in the lower 30s. I don’t care if it snows a foot so long as we can get some moisture. Some area towns are already in water restriction mode.

WHEEE HA! FINISH THEM!!
Was up to 80° today. Was simply beautiful with clear skies. The wind was intense but other than that it was beautiful.
MASSIVE hail storm pelting the beans out of us. Supposedly we are in the path of not one, not two but THREE huge thunderstorms.
Yea Spring.

It got to 83° here today, and still 79° at 7:30, when I came inside. It wasn't as windy as the last couple of days, but enough to cool me some. Back down in the 70s tomorrow, and continues to get cooler, to a few days in the 50s, and the lowest overnight forecast to be 43°, lower than it has been for a while.

Had a gorgeous day yesterday, getting to 73° here, and I was out there much of the day. Today 67° is the forecast high - about average - and rain starting around noon, but not the flooding rains we've been having. More rain the next two days, but just scattered rains, and much cooler.

Great >,< Sirens are screaming. Phone is screaming. TAKE SHELTER NOW! pfft no shelter to take so fingers crossed.
EDIT TO ADD:
Update: So the tornado came trucking down the middle of our road. Went back up in the air, crossed the highway, landed again, tossed some trees around, smashed a garage and headed out to the little town next to us.
In the middle of this, the Phew was outside giving the finger to the sky. Couple of sandwiches short of a picnic!

So the area we live in, is a weird little pocket of WTF weather. We are a bit immune to the nonsense at this point. So naturally when the sirens are screaming to take shelter, us hicks are all like "Here she comes Pa, grab the camera!" You laugh but here is a picture of the tornado coming down our road that was posted on a local news site! We are safe and sound with just more tree vomit to pick up out of the yard.

spike , I'm glad everyone (and everything???) is mostly ok in your neighborhood. Sounds like you live in a little tornado alley pocket. I'd probably be down in our lower hallway if one actually threatened here. It's the only place without windows if you shut the bedroom doors. Tornadoes have been rare here, but we do get one every couple of years. Mostly we get the high straight line winds during storms which also do damage. So far it's been a busy tornado season for the nation overall. Not looking forward to what happens when the summer heat starts in.

Glad you were spared, spike! Those rains from that area are headed this way, but greatly reduced. Cooler this morning - 52° @7 am, and only up to 55° now, and only supposed to get to 57° later, so well below avg. A few lows in the 10 day showing 43°, but getting up to low to mid 60s - about avg, but none of those summer temps we got a few of. More rain from out west tomorrow, but then no more until mid week, but I won't believe that until it happens!
