Got another 1 3/8" of rain yesterday, and it didn't stop until close to midnight, and about 7:30 pm I started hearing thunder! Today is very sunny, but also very windy - I went out to bring in some trays and other planting things from the shed, and I could barely get them to the back door, without getting them blown out of my arms! Tomorrow isn't supposed to be much better, but the week is supposed to start getting much warmer, getting our first 70+ days of the year. We'll see if it happens...
And now I see it rained again, briefly, with the sun out still - sort of like a sunshower down south!

It was a really lovely sunny day yesterday with a high in the upper 60s. Great day to be out in the garden and working in shorts. It is kinda cool this morning with a low in the upper 40s. Today will also be nice, but a bit cloudier, less breezy, and cooler overnight, with a low of 42 forecast. The forecast for the rest of the week is a warming trend (to highs around 80/lows in the 60s) followed by rain this weekend. So the temperatures are pretty normal for mid-March, but we are having more cloudiness and rain than usual. The Spring Breakers don't like it, but I am happy to have some rain rather than the usual spring drought.

We need rain badly. With all the snow gone, way too early for greenery to show up, all we have is dry grass and leaves. Much of the state now in fire danger if we get strong winds. High here is supposed to be 62F, but if the wind comes across our frozen lake, it won't get that warm here due to air conditioning effect from the ice pack. There is some melting around the edges, but still a long way to go for open water.

Nothing until Friday, then only a 40% chance of rain and/or snow. The atmosphere is so dry than most of it evaporates before it hits the ground, even if it shows up on radar.

It got to 68° here today, but it was still quite windy. Maybe that was a better thing, to help me dry off, since that pressure washing was getting me quite wet, at times! It helped dry it off, too, so it should be ready to put the stain on tomorrow, and the wind is forecast @ 5-10 mph, instead of 15-20, like today. And around 72°, for a high.

Last night we received just over an inch of rain...first time in many months and it was much needed. Even after an hour or two of sunlight it is noticeably greener outside.

Congrats on the rain, paulf! May you get more (but not too much!) this growing season. We are expecting/hoping for rain here this evening, and it will get cooler after that. Tomorrow night the actual forecast is 37 with a dewpoint of 25, so that means a possible light frost. Monday night is the coldest night, with no more possible frost after that. assuming the forecast is remotely close to correct. We are already past the normal last frost date (March 10) so hopefully this is the last frost scare for me this year. All winter I was saying that I didn't have record cold or anything, but I did have consistently cool weather from Dec- Feb, with very few warm days with highs into the 70s. That wasn't just my perception. My thermostat has an outside sensor that tracks temperatures and it keeps a record of how many hours of cooling and heating the heat pump does, as well as what temperatures we set the thermostat to. With the same thermostat settings as last year, we had hundreds fewer cooling hours and hundreds more heating hours over the course of the winter. Also, the outside thermometer recorded December average temperatures 2 degrees cooler than last winter. January temperatures averaged 3 degrees lower than last year, and February temperatures averaged 5 degrees lower than last year. Again, we didn't have that many frosts or freezes (though we did have a couple of hard freezes) - it was just cool all of the time. In most winters we get one or two long warm spells, and that just didn't happen this year. So far March is shaping up to be another cooler than average month. Though of course there is almost half of the month left and things could change. So far it is definitely cooler, cloudier, and wetter than usual. I don't mind the wet part, though, because March is usually very dry.

Temperatures are dropping - after those 70+ days, yesterday was down to 65°, today a couple degrees lower (and 20 mph sustained winds ), but still above average, tomorrow down to average, about 52°, then 45° the first day of spring! The rest of the week below average, and one low was at 32°, so winter isn't leaving early.

No rain, but instead we got a light dusting of snow to turn the ground patchy white. After some nice sunny nice days in 40's and 50's, we are back to the freezer with a high of 28F today and down to 10F tonight. Next week appears to stay cold.

After it was supposed to only get to 45° today, I think it got to 49 or 50 degrees, though it was extremely windy again. Tomorrow it is forecast to get to 60°, but Thursday back down to 46°, and a low overnight down to 28°. Eventually, rain returns, Saturday and Sunday.

Beautiful weather yesterday and today, but I have not really been in a position to enjoy it - I was miserably sick yesterday and although I am feeling much better today, I still don't have any energy.
Tomorrow is also supposed to be nice with a high of 78 and partly cloudy skies with a gentle breeze; hopefully I will feel up to getting outside and enjoying it then.
Rain is forecast for Friday and Saturday, and then again for next Tuesday and Wednesday. Temperatures are forecast to be mild again, with highs in the low to mid 70s all week, which is cooler than average for late March. These once or twice a week rains are weird for this late in March; we are normally well into the spring drought by now. But I like it, especially since we are having some beautiful sunny and mild days between the rains.

It only got to 45° yesterday, with bad wind - 20, with 40+ mph gusts. Today is still supposed to be a few degrees below average - 50° for high, after the 27° low, and still 30° at 9 am. But much less wind, so sometime this afternoon I'll get what I can done out there, and get things secured, because tomorrow is forecast for 2-3" of rain, with a lot of yellow, orange, and red in the radar, and the wind picking up again! And it looks like quite a few days in the 10 day are rainy. Like those first 10 days of March here, when we thought it was April already!

It's really pretty now, since the clouds just moved off. High 73 with 15-20mph winds today.
A little warmer (upper 70s highs) and less windy conditions are forecast for the next couple of days, and then more rain is forecast for Tuesday into Wednesday.

It rained just over 4" here - it was raining at 5:30 am, when I woke up briefly, and finally stopped shortly after 3 pm. I put my straight sided bucket out in the open, in my garden, and it caught about 4 1/8" - almost everywhere around was over 3", at least, with many higher. Very windy again, and same tomorrow, but cooler - only 51°, while today was 57°, which is a little above avg. Tonight and tomorrow night are the last two around freezing, and each day getting a little warmer. Not as many rainy days as they were originally predicting, but then, I don't worry about these things until I'm planting the tomatoes, eggplants, and peppers out there, and I haven't even planted the seeds yet! Almost time, however...

After all that rain yesterday, there were hardly any clouds in the sky today, though it took quite a while for the wind to die down. It was still colder than average - barely got to 50° - and I waited until about 3:30 pm to go out for very long. Another below freezing night forecast, and still below average tomorrow, but then slowly going up, later in the week...along with more rain.

79F, cloudy and humid today. Tomorrow is forecast to be more of the same, but there is rain forecast for overnight tomorrow night. Then a cool front will pass through - 4 days of highs in the low 70s and lows in the upper 40s before it warms back up to seasonable temperatures (upper 70s-low 80s highs and lows 60+/- a few degrees). Sunny skies are is forecast from Wednesday afternoon through the weekend.
Sounds lovely! I just hope we get a good soaking rain tomorrow night since no more rain is forecast for at least a week after that.
Really I cannot complain about the weather this spring so far. It has been mild (actually a little cooler than average) with lots of sunny days, and we have had regular rains so far - no March drought! I would love for April to continue this pattern, but I know it cannot last forever.

We are currently in "Stupid Weather" season. Will it rain? Snow? Sun shine? Windy? Cloudy? Hot? All at once randomly? shrug.

Got about 3/4" of rain this morning - about gone by 10 am, but patches of rain through the day, then tomorrow morning another round of heavy rain, maybe even more. And it is still at 48° - might get to 50° today, but barely. 2 more days like this!

Now, at 2 pm, I am hearing thunder. And rain is coming down hard! Not supposed to stop 'til after around 6:00 pm. Well over an inch already, plus the inch yesterday. And they are predicting over 1¼" for tomorrow, before tapering off Thursday.

It has been raining heavily, on and off all day today, with wicked wind, and around 3:30, while I was in the kitchen making some bread dough, there was a very loud thunder clap, followed by a very long rumble, that didn't want to stop! It didn't hang around here for long, probably that line they predicted coming through here (they had it must worse down south, where it came from), with the narrow line of red in the radar. Not supposed to clear out until after 8 pm sometime, with mostly green, and some yellow, but looks like the worst is through now. Still, more rain, on and off tomorrow predicted.

Early spring mid fifties days mid thirties nights, very windy out of the north. Early flowers blooming trees budding but not yet blooming. No rain to speak of. Just warm enough to get out and rake a bit but not do much else. Feeling good enough to be looking forward to doing something but doing much yet.

OMG, the sun was out this morning! Not very much, but I would have had to wear shades, if I stepped out there at all, it's been so long since I've seen it. It was in the high 30s, with wind chills around freezing, so I figured I'd wait until it's a bit warmer to go out and survey the damage from all the rain and wind. Of course, there is still more rain forecast, just not as much. And a little warmer, but still several degrees below average for this date.
