About 50F now at 10:30 a.m., heading for about 60. But they are predicting nights in the upper to mid 30s tonight and tomorrow, and low 40s for Wednesday night - we might be setting record lows the next three nights. So yeah - the tomatoes that I haven't already planted out are back inside until Thursday.
The kicker is that I am near the coast - inland areas will drop to 32F or below throughout the panhandle and well down the peninsula for the next 2-3 nights. I hope the strawberry and vegetable farmers are able to protect their plants. Otherwise, we're all going to be paying for it in the grocery stores.
It's strange to have to worry about frosts and freezes in Florida during the last week of March.

Let's hope all that snow helps ease the drought conditions, Gix.
We're finally losing our snow the last couple days. The fields are quite bare. Rain is forecast for the weekend. At night, maybe a little snow with that rain.
1.30am and it's still a little above freezing. Maybe this is the beginning of the changing of the seasons.

Two more nights left below freezing, then we warm directly into summer. The extended forecast is to be in the 90's by the end of April. So much for spring....

38F last night. Depending on which weather site I look at, they are predicting 33-39F tonight. 33??? Seriously? They've also revised tomorrow night's low down from the low 40s to upper 30s. Glad I covered my tomatoes last night. I will re-cover them tonight and tomorrow night.
Unfortunately I am out of stuff to cover plants with...the peppers and eggplants made it through last night just fine, but if it gets to 33 tonight they are probably goners. The sweet potato slips are still in their trays, so I will bring those inside tonight.

Suns out and the snow is melting. And yes I have a few (2) plants outside.
Call me crazy but just sit back and watch. It's 38 out in the nook of my house where they are it is 60 with the direct sun. They need sun or they are goners. So it's is hard love or compost heap.
You will see. LOL

Tuesday, we were above freezing again and had quite a bit of sun. I got out for a few walks totaling 5km and it was nice out. The snow is really disappearing; even the snow in the shade.
I see the cold weather has made it deep into the South. At suppertime, it was one degree colder in Atlanta than it was here in Michigan!
At midnight, it's just above freezing.

After a wet start to the day, the sun came out in the afternoon. The temperature got up to around 60F and was a great change to the cold weather we've been having.
After dark, there were a few raindrops and currently, it's above freezing. We'll start Monday cold and may not even get above freezing. Won't be surprised if we have snow showers.

69F already at 9:15 a.m., heading for somewhere in the mid-upper 70s. It's overcast now now, but starting to clear off and we should get a lot of sun this afternoon. Finally we have a long-range forecast with the nights all above 50F. The plants should be off to the races now!

From a low of 24F (-4.4C) this morning, we've managed to get up to 33F (.5C) at Noon. The wind is howling. I may take a pass on my walk until it calms down outside. Every now-and-then, snow flurries are blowing by the window and even a few big snowflakes. Further north in Michigan, there is a Winter Weather Advisory and even a Lake Effect Snow Warning in the Upper Peninsula. The UP may get up to a total of 12" (30.5cm) of new snow in this storm. Ain't that a fine "How-do-you-do" for April Fool's Day!
