There's been a change in plans. We're 39F(4C) right now with bright sunshine! I got out for a nice walk and will take another one later. Or two, hehe. Tonight, it looks like we'll get some rain turning to snow with the temperature dropping to just under freezing. Nothing major. Strat, stay safe! with rain and freezing temps comes that fun stuff otherwised named as ice. We get our share of it!

Hi, Izit. I'm in for the night and all is well. So far tonight, we've had some sprinkles. The temp is a little above freezing and should stay that way through the night hours.
In the morning, we expect some mixed precipitation turning to all snow. We may get a total of an inch of the white stuff in the next 24 hours.
We seem to have had lot of rain in the winter three out of the last four years. Luckily, we haven't had big ice storms with the resulting loss of electricity. Knock on wood.

After midnight, we're just under freezing. Sunday, we had 40F (5C) with lots of sun early in the day. I took a long walk to pick up the Sunday paper. Shoveled a little snow off the sidewalk for when the schoolkids walk by on Monday to the Elementary down the street.
After 5.30p, I went snowshoeing with my brother again in his town's park. Saw a couple ducks in the river and four deer out walking in the field. They noticed us. Had some Mourning Doves fly over heading to find a place for the night. I prefer to get out late in the day to see what animals come out before dark.

Last night, I got out for a walk around 8p. The temperature was around freezing and the Full Snow Moon was bright.
Tonight, we're around the freezing mark before midnight. We have a little snow falling and the wind is howling.

Sunday, we started the day out with a temperature of 8.5F(-13C). Had a bright, sunny day with a high just below the freezing mark.
Late in the day, I went snowshoeing with my brother, again. Saw an eagle, some ducks and lots of turkey tracks in the snow. And, a swan flying! We were out for an hour and I'm sleepy tonight.
After tonight's low of about 0F(-18C), this week's daytime temperatures are supposed to start getting above freezing. Looking forward to the snow melting.

Hey, Izit. That's quite a drop!
Tuesday, we had a low of 7.5F(-14C). In the daytime, we were just above freezing and I got out for a total of 5km of walking. After 8p, we had some snow flurries. I was out for a walk and almost did the splits on the icy sidewalk in the dark. It wasn't comfortable.
Wednesday, we'll be around 38F(3C) with a chance of freezing drizzle and a slight chance of snow. I don't see the changing of the seasons yet. Last year, I planted peas on the 6th of March.

Guess it is our turn for the high winds today and tonight. 25-35mph with gust to 45mph. Me thinks I'll wait to plant out the rest of the onions!

Yeah, it was chilly here this morning, too. Did not break 50 until almost noon. Heading back down into the upper 30s again tonight. Tomorrow will be a bit warmer, and seasonable March temperatures (lower 70s day, 50s nights) finally arrive this weekend.
Glad I brought the tomato, eggplant, and pepper seedlings back inside yesterday afternoon!

I was surprised to see patches of light frost this morning; the low was predicted to be in the lower 40s but it was actually 38 (official low). Glad I left the tomato, pepper, and eggplant seedlings inside last night! It's 50 heading for about 70 now, so I am about to take them outside to enjoy the sun and fresh air. Looking at the extended forecast, it appears that spring may finally be here.

Friday we had a bright, sunny day with above freezing temps. Looks like the snow has finally started to wane. I enjoyed a few walks totaling 5km. The sun is riding higher in the sky and heating the house more.
Just before dark, I took a drive just west of town to get a better view of the horizon to look for the comet, Pan-STARRS. Low clouds on the horizon were obstructing my chance to see it. Hope we get a clear night in the next week.
Starting Saturday, the temperatures are supposed to be above freezing for 48 hours. Rain is likely. Come on, Spring!

45 degrees and just starting to rain. First of the spring rains, just hoping it doesn't turn to snow later on today.

At midnight, I just heard some rain. We're still well-above freezing. Much of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan is under a Winter Storm Warning tonight, while downstate at Detroit it's currently 55F(13C). The snow has really melted the last few days.

10 degrees ... 30 degrees below average. Last year in mid-March the highs were in the seventies, this year the thirties. Strange brew.

We've been having below average temperatures. Heard geese last Saturday and Wednesday saw my 1st Robins. Most of our snow was gone until we woke up today. Snow in the daytime, too.
Tonight, after 7p, I went snowshoeing for an hour with my brother. It was just below freezing. Then we had to wait for it to get darker to see the comet, Pan-STARRS, through his binoculars and spotting scope.

We started out Sunday morning at 11.5F(-11C) and never got above freezing all day. I got out for one walk and the wind was brisk.
A year ago on St. Patrick's Day, we had 79.5F(26C) with a couple lawnmowers going in the neighborhood.
The next four days we'll be lucky to get up to the freezing mark. Chances for snow those days with Monday being a mixed bag of snow mixed with drizzle or freezing drizzle.

brrrr, it is only going to be 50' today. Will have to wait another week before the 70's come in for a while!
Strat come on down for some warm weather and lawn mowing. The AC will be turned on for good in the next three weeks.

Sounds great! I'm on my way. I do so long for the warm weather, Izit. As far as the lawn mowing goes, NOT, heheh. Oh, yeah. I don't travel without a guitar. You're forewarned.

Cool and overcast, looks like it will start raining in a little while. On Monday the forecast for Wednesday night (tonight) was 45-50. Yesterday the forecast for tonight was 40-45. Today the forecast for tonight is 38-43. Sheesh...tonight better hurry up and come before they drop the forecast again! Also, yesterday the forecast for tomorrow night was 52...now it's 41-46. I am kind of worried about what they will say tomorrow!

Today we had 85F (29.4C) in Mom's backyard. More than 40F above average. This is a July temperature! At my place in town, I saw my first Bumblebee this afternoon. Lots of Canadian Geese flying back and forth in their "V" formation. My first time seeing Swans overhead flying in formation relatively low over the street! Tonight, it's 64F (17.8C) at 11.40p! This weather has lost its mind... Well, a year later we started out the day at 11.5F(-11.4C)! Was very sunny out and cold. Stayed under freezing and the wind sure had a bite to it.

I was reading an article yesterday ( www.wunderground.com/news/march-2012-vs-2013-big-temperature-swing) comparing last March to this year - there were huge differences in the upper midwest and northeast, which had record highs last year and are having January-like weather now. One example cited was International Falls, MN: Their high on March 17, 2012 was 77 and their low was 52. On March 17 this year, the high was 22 and the low was -28. (Yipes!) The normal high for that date is 35 and the normal low is 13. Stay warm - I hope spring comes for you soon!
