April 24th. I told the breeder to watch these two for some characteristics and I would put down a deposit on the one that she recommended. A Sheepadoodle F1-B or 3/4 Standard Poodle and 1/4 Old English Sheepdog.

Okay I paid in full for Captain Saturday night. He will have to adjust to a name change. Captain was too stuffy but a certain captain might work. Nemo from 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea. He will be coming home April 24 so I have until then to puppy proof and re-equip for a second dog.

The Great Introduction is going on. Little Nemo is the one who is growling and barking. Waldo is feeling a bit abandoned.

Or ... When are you taking him back? He's not staying here, is he?

I bought a second dog bed. Fuzzy But dragged it over on top of the first dog bed where he had already stored every dog toy that he could find. He also helps himself to Waldo's adult diet dog food while Waldo leaves his puppy chow alone.

That's one way to get Waldo to lose weight. Poor doggy! I am really glad that he is not aggressive to the puppy, but I hope for his sake that he learns to stand his ground a little.

Laura_in_FL, Late this morning I heard a yip and Nemo came running into the bedroom and hid under the bed. I told him "you brought it on yourself!" Waldo had to let me get out of sight before he gave a little attitude adjustment.

Good new is that Nemo seems to have learned to use the dog door. That means no more puppy poop in the hallway(fingers crossed). The bad new is that Nemo has learned to use the dog door so Waldo has nowhere that he can go for peace and quiet.

A few more attitude adjustments will no doubt have to happen before Nemo will remember to show proper respect to his elder.

Well Poopster has learned to poop when walking on a leash, immediately reinforced with "Good boys!". But he still pukes in every car ride longer than 5 minutes long.

And he's getting to be quite an armload! Congrats on teaching him to poop on a leash; that's a big step.
Hopefully he will outgrow the car sickness like human kids sometimes do.

He went to the vet yesterday for the third round of shots. He weighs 21 pounds so he is gaining a little over a pound a week. Today he went to the groomer at noon then we went to the puppy training class at seven. He's wiped out but no puke! The vet said to give him Dramamine for longer rides.

Seniority! He took possession of the Brat's new fluffy bed. Hiss aching old bones needed the padding.

I had to take Waldo the vet Friday. He had an ear infection and had either drank contaminated ditch water or eaten cat poop. He had also lost the extra 9 pounds that he was carrying around. The drugs must be working because he was banging his pan at 6 AM today for First Breakfast, determined to regain the weight. I made him wait an hour, I don't negotiate with terrorists.

Poor Waldo - I am glad that he is feeling better, though.
Hopefully you won't have to take pups to the vet for a while for anything other than scheduled checkups!

Last night Nemo had the zoomies. I also had to have a talk with him about chewing on my toes.

He was 32 pounds about 3 weeks ago. When my car returns from its repair spa in Fort Walton Beach I will take him to get weighed again. Last night at 5:15 he and Waldo were yapping for supper in stereo. "Shut up! You know dinnertime is at 6!" If I give in the next day they will start yapping at 4:30 or 5.

Heh, the cats are the same way. The cats eat dinner at 6, no earlier. If we ever give in and feed them ahead of schedule, the dinner time "reminders" start even earlier the next day.

I don't know what to think. The puppy pooped in bed, his new fluffy dog bed. He's done it before in the older dog's bed, being a brat I guess. I showed it to him, said "NO!" and locked him up for 15 minutes.
