Hi, everyone. I am a long time gardener, which doesn't necessarily make me always the most successful one. So I love this community and hints from other gardeners. I live in NW Ohio where the weather is fickle (we got snow in late May 2020, and cold rains into late June), then blazing heat during July and August. So gardening here can be a challenge
I am a college professor, with just one and a half more semesters to go before retirement. i have been teaching from home since the pandemic started because I am old, and my college does not require student vaccination (don't get me started). This is my 33rd year of high school and college teaching. i have enjoyed it but I am tired.
I love gardening, flowers and veggies ( I even like mowing), walking my dog Shasta, reading a lot, adult coloring books (by that I mean they are clean, but more complicated), cooking, my family (one adult son and his partner), and watching NCIS on TV
Welcome, everyone

Welcome to the new and returning posters. Indigogirl17, thanks for the bio. Amazing that we recognize names but don't know backgrounds. We have a lot of interesting folks coming around (and some not very interesting [that would be me] but still fun to communicate with).
My wife taught for about the same number of years and I did other things and the best thing we both did was retire because we were tired. Your energy level will increase dramatically; just don't be afraid of saying, "NO".

Hi folks! I was Googling a bit this morning, and followed one of you here from another site lol. I've been gardening in NW Virginia for years, and grow all kinds of veggies with my favorites being peppers, beans and tomatoes. Looking forward to spending some time here with you all.
